2. Census in 1860 in Alexandria, Huntingdon, PA. ³ Hannah Bucher, age 80, is living with daughter Eliza, 54. Hannah's estate is valued at $15,000 for possessions with no real estate, and Eliza's at $4000 for possessions plus $8000 in real estate. Also living with them is Caroline Hatfield, 46; Charles Hatfield, 18, student; and Susan Isenburg, 23, domestic.

Next door is presumed to be Hannah's son, George C. Bucher, age 38, merchant. His estate is valued at $6,400 in real estate and $3,500 in possessions. With him is wife Susan, 37; John, 13; Hannah, 10; Amie, 8; Eliza, 6; Mary, 4; and George, 1.

3. Census in 1870 in Alexandria, Huntingdon, PA. ⁷ Susan Bucher, age 48, is living as a widow with real estate valued at $6,000 and possessions worth $5760. Each child in the home has possessions worth $200, perhaps an inheritance from their recently deceased father: Hannah M., age 30; Annie, 18; Eliza, 16; Mary, 13; George S., 11; Susan, 7; Caroline, 4; and Already, 3. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office was Huntingdon.

4. Census in 1880 in Alexandria, Huntingdon, PA. ⁸ Susan Bucher, age 58, is living as a widow with her children: Hannah, 30; Mary, 23; Sue S., 17; Carrie, 14; and Alfred, 13. Also with them is Mary Scott, age 44, who is Susan's sister. Susan and Mary were born in Ireland, and everyone else in Pennsylvania.
