1. Obituary: Gettysburg Times: obituary of Early E. Spangler on 4 Oct 1965 in Gettysburg, Adams, PA. ⁵ Earl E. Spangler, 66, of Littlestown R. 1, Germany Twp., died on Saturday at 2:05 p.m. in the Warner Hospital where he had been a patient since September 8.
He was the son of the late Oliver D. and Emma (Hofe) Spangler. The deceased was a farmer all his life, most of the time being spent in Germany Township.
He is survived byhis wife, Ruth M. Harman Spangler, and five children, David E. Spangler, R. 1, Littlestown; John W. Spangler, Baltimore; Mrs. Melvin Bange, Brodbecks; Mrs. Darrell Ecker, Waynesboro, and Alvin L. Spangler, Littlestown R. 1, and 14 grandchildren. He was a member of the Gospel Fellowship Tabernacle Church, Hanover.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the J. W. Little and Son Funeral Home, Littlestown. His pastor, the Rev. Ralph Rudisill, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening.
