Isack and wife were born in Pennsylvania, and the children in Ohio. Isack's real estate was valued at $800 and personal estate $300. The post office was Chili. On the same census page is Mary's father Wm Beecher with his family.

Census in 1870. ⁶ The 1870 census recorded Isaac Cotterman, cabinet maker, 56, living with wife Ann, 46; Theodore, cabinet maker, 28; Henry, works on farm, 21; Mary, 18; Florence, 12; and Elinore, 10.
