2. Census in 1900 in Reading, Berks, Pennsylvania, USA. ⁷ Jacob H. Bucher, age 25, born April 1875. He is married but living without his wife, having been married less than a year. He is living with a other people his age in a boarding house owned by a Mr. Bieber and his wife Rosa at 17 S. Third Street. The census image makes it difficult to read Jacob's occupation. He and his parents were born in Pennsylvania.

3. Census in 1910 in Boyertown, Berks, PA. ⁸ Jacob Bucher, age 35, bookkeeper, is living with wife Lucy, 32. They were married for 11 years and had one child who was still alive and living with them: Ralph, age 9. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania, as well as their parents except Lucy, whose father was born in England and mother in Maryland. They were living in a rented room at the Keystone Hotel.

BUCHER, READING, husband of the late Lucy (Trethewey) Bucher and former Boyertown resident were held yesterday at 2 p. m. from a funeral home on Warwick street, Boyertown. Officiating was the Rev, D. F. Longacre, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, Boyertown. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery, Boyertown. Bearers were R. D. Jones, P. T. Kissinger. Roy Klopp, L. E. Webber, J. R. Bingaman, J. A. Dunlop, H. J. Ryan and L. C. Moody.

Estate of Former Utility Executive Valued at $50,000

Jacob H. Bucher, of Reading, retired Metropolitan-Edison Company official, left an estate valued at more than $50,000 in personal property. Under the terms of the will filed at the office of Register John C. Cook, a grandson, Jacob Robert Bucher, of Binghamton, N. Y., is bequeathed $10,000 cash and a wrist watch. The decedent created a $15,000 trust fund for a grandson, Ralph Henry Bucher, of Binghamton, N. Y.; a trust fund of $15,000 for the benefit of a grandson, Ralph Tretheway Bucher, of Penn Yan, N. Y., and the residuary estate in trust for Jacob Robert Bucher until he attains the age of 35 years. The Berks County Trust Company is named trustee and executor. In the event of the death of Ralph Henry Bucher, his mother, Mrs. Rose Bucher, is the beneficiary. The will makes provision for distribution under the intestate laws in the event the heirs do not survive.

7. Fact: ¹¹ Bucher, Jacob Henry, was born April 27, 1875, in Berks Co., s/o Isaac B. and Susan (Ziegler) Bucher. His father was born in Montgomery Co. He died 1908, the mother, born in Angelica, PA, died in 1895.

In 1899, Jacob Henry married Lucy B. Trethewey, of Boyertown d/o Samuel and Belinda (Brown) Trethewey. Mrs. Bucher died July 3 1928, they were the parents of one son, Ralph Henry, born Sept 1900, who married Grace Ritter, and they had two son, Jacob Robert and Charles Russell Bucher.
