1. Census in 1870 in Highland Twp., Adams, PA. 5 Adam Bucher, 33, farmer, was living with wife Susan, 31; Sadie C., 8; George B., 6; and James, 1. Also with them: Cutshall Berry, 18, farm hand; and Rockwell Iggie, 20, domestic servant. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office was Fairfield. Adam had no real estate value and his personal estate was worth $800.

2. Census in 1880 in Franklin Twp., Adams, PA. 8 Adam Bucher, age 44, farmer, is living with wife Susan, 41; George B., 15; J. Edward, 11; and Harry A., 10. Everyone and everyone's parents were born in Pennsylvania.

3. Census in 1920 in Franklin Twp., Adams, PA. 9 Living on Scotts School road was George M. Bucher, farmer, 51, married to wife Sarah C., 55. Living with them: Curtis G., 33; Clarence A., 18; Harry E., 16; Owen H., 12; and John C, 11. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

5. Obituary: Gettysburg Times on 27 Oct 1941 in Gettysburg, Adams, PA. 7 G. McClellan Bucher, 78, a prominent Adams County fruit grower and farmer for 40 years, died at his home near Cashtown Saturday evening at 8:30 from a complication of diseases. He had been ill seven weeks during which he was bedfast.
He was a native of Adams County, a son of the late Adam Franklin and Susan Elizabeth(Settle) Bucher, and resided all of his life in the county. For a number of years he was a school director in Franklin township. He was a life-long member of Flohr's Lutheran Church and was an honorary member of the Cashtown Fire Company.
The deceased was twice married. His first wife, Anna Biesecker, died in 1896. His second wife, Sarah C Deardorff, died in 1927.
Surviving are the following children from his first marriage; G Curtis Bucher, Sterling, Illinois, and Mrs. Harry Hartzell, Biglerville R D. From his second marriage he following children survive; Clarence A, at home; H Erman, Cashtown; Owen H, at home, and John C, Cashtown. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and two brothers, Harry A and Edward J, both of Cashtown.
Funeral services from the Bender Funeral Home Wednesday morning at 10:00 conducted by the Rev. George H Berkheimer. Interment in Flohr's cemetery.


George married Sarah Catherine E. Deardorff, daughter of Henry Deardorff and Clara E. Weikert, on 11 Oct 1899.1 (Sarah Catherine E. Deardorff was born on 12 Sep 1864 in Franklin Twp., Adams, PA,1 2 3 died on 27 Sep 1927 in Gettysburg, Adams, PA 2 3 and was buried in McKnightstown: Flohr's Lutheran Church, Adams, PA 2 3.)


George next married Annie Belle Biesecker, daughter of Frank H. Biesecker and Annie Matilda Shull. (Annie Belle Biesecker was born in 1862,2 died in 1896 in , Adams, PA 2 and was buried in McKnightstown: Flohr's Lutheran Church, Adams, PA 2.)
