4. Obituary: The Sentinel on 3 May 1947 in Gettysburg, Adams, PA. 2 Harry A. Bucher, 76, former school teacher and railroader and in recent years a foreman for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, died Saturday evening at 7:00 at his home in Cashtown after an illness of several months from a heart condition.
Mr. Bucher was a native of Adams County and was a son of the late Adam F. and Susan Settle Bucher. He attended the Franklin township schools and the state teachers' college at Shippensburg after which he taught for a number of years in Adams county schools.
Then he became a clerk in the Hanover offices of the Western Maryland railroad, later going to Corning, NY, where he held a similar position with the new York Central railroad. For eight years he worked with the Southern Pipe Line company as a foreman and in recent years, until he became ill last November, he had worked as a highway department foreman in this county.
For a number of years he had been a Republican committeeman from Franklin township and formerly served as a member of the executive committee of the county GOP organization.
He was twice married. His first wife, the former Mary E. Mickley, died in 1917. His second marriage was to Mary Benner who died August 5, 1941.
Mr. Bucher was a member of Flohr's Lutheran church and Sunday school. He had been active in church work for many years, having taught a Sunday school class and held numerous offices in the congregation.
The only survivors are a brother, Edward J., Cashtown, and a number of nieces and nephew.
Funeral services Wednesday at 10:30 am at Flohr's Lutheran Church with impostor, the Rev. George H. Berkheimer, officiating. Interment in Flohr's cemetery.

5. Newspaper: East Berlin News Comet, 21 May 1948, East Berlin, Adams, PA. 6 Notice is hereby given to all legatees and other persons concerned, that the Administration Accounts, together with Schedules of Proposed Distribution hereinafter entered, have been filed in the Office of the Register of Wills, and will be presented to the Orphan's Court of Adams County, Pennsylvania, for confirmation and allowance of Monday, the 14th day of June, A.D., 1948, at 10:30 A.M. of said day.

Harry next married Mary E. Benner, daughter of Moses C. Benner and Lydia Shaffer, on 22 Mar 1919 in , Adams, PA. (Mary E. Benner was born in 1870 in , Adams, PA,1 died on 5 Aug 1941 in , Adams, PA 1 2 7 and was buried in McKnightstown: Flohr's Lutheran Church, Adams, PA 1.)
