Year's Illness Results Fatally for Mrs. John B. Bucher at Family Residence on North Front Street

Mrs. Hannah Hellera Bucher, wife of John B. Bucher, died at the family residence, 912 N. Front St., at 10:45 o'clock last night, after a year's illness. She was aged 79 years, 11 months, and 20 days.

She was born at Schuylkill Haven, Dec 12, 1854, the daughter of George and Margaret Heisler. She came to this city when she was 15 years of age, and lived there ever since, a period of 64 years.

She was married to Mr. Bucher, a member of an old Sunbury family, 48 years ago. Their union was marked by the greatest happiness. Its break after nearly reaching a span of a half a century is a severe blow to the bereaved husband, who has himself not been in good heal for some months past.

Surviving are her husband and two sons, George H. Bucher, president of Westinghouse International company with headquarters in New York City; and Francis E. Bucher, of this city, who is engaged in the automobile business. Six grandchildren also survive.

Her son George is now on his way home from Europe, and the boat is scheduled to dock tomorrow at New York. His office has been seeking to communicate with him by radio.

Funeral services will be held from the house, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. A. G. Van Elden, rector at St. Matthew's church, of which she was for many years a member, will officiate. Burial will be made in Pomfret Manor cemetery.
