She was born Oct. 17,1901, in Sunbury. She was married to Claude S. Bucher, who preceded her in death in 1950.
She was formerly employed by The Edison and Neff hotels, the Sunbury Silk Mills and the Gross Mills, Danville.
Mrs. Bucher was a past exalted ruler of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Loyal of Moose, Sunbury. She loved to crochet and make afghans.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Sunbury.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph E. and Shirley Bucher of RR2 Sunbury; a total of 95 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Sarah Strawser, Margaret Aurand, and Frances Ernst; three sons, John R., Claude Samuel and Lester "Sonny" Bucher; three brothers; and three sisters.
Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury. The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Adrian Shearer of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sunbury. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
