William Sr. and Susanah were born in Pennsylvania; Jerry and Rubin in Indiana, and the others in Ohio.

8. Newspaper: Topeka State Journal: Jerry Beecher Arrested, 22 Jan 1897, Topeka, Shawnee, KS. 12 Caught After Three Weeks. Under Sheriff Bert Lucas last night arrested Jerry Beecher on the charge of obtaining money under false pretenses and locked him in the county jail. Beecher passed a $20 Missouri militia bond at the Topeka Packing House market, securing therefor goods and cash in change. This was three weeks ago. Officers have been working on the case and yesterday found Beecher and took him into custody.

Mrs. Jerry Beecher, of 1219 East Tenth street, daughter-in-law of William Beecher, the old gentleman 81 years old who applied for work at the free employment agency yesterday, states that Mr. Beecher Is at present living with his son, her husband. She claims that he is old, and that on account of this he is childish and not satisfied with his home. Mrs. Beecher states his son does not ask his father to work, and that Mr. Beecher is glad to furnish a home for his aged father.
