1. Obituary: Lancaster Intelligencer Journal on 15 Jul 2006 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. ¹ Paul C. Bucher, 82, of Lititz, died at Ephrata Community Hospital on Thursday, July 13, 2006.

He was born in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, a son of the late Miles and Mabel (Bucher) Bucher. He was the husband of Ruth Kreider Bucher for 55 years on Febuary 24.

A member of Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, he served in the office of deacon for many years.

He was a farmer for 51 years, and also worked as a siding contractor and seed corn salesman. He graduated in 1943 from the Schaefferstown High School.

Surviving besides his wife is a foster son, Mark E. Shepherd of Manheim and a foster grandson, Dustin M. Shepherd. He is also survived by three nieces and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Jane and Darla Kay; two brothers, Leroy A. and Curtis M., and a sister, Ruth Camuy.

A memorial service will be held at the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, 351 Middle Creek Road, Lititz, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday July 18th with Pastor Paul Brubaker and Pastor Ivan Lutz officiating. Interment will take place at the family's convenience. A viewing will be held on Monday evening, July 17th from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata.

The family requests memorial contributions in Paul's memory be sent to Middle Creek Church of the Brethren Mission Fund, 351 Middle Creek Rd., Lititz, PA 17543. Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata.
