1. Census in 1870 in Lower Windsor Twp., York, PA. ^{2 3} Parris Beecker [as indexed in census], 45, farm laborer, was living with wife Rebecca, 36; Annie, 19; Kesiah, 14; John, 12; Sarah, 10; Charles, 8; Elias, 6; and Howard, 4. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

2. Newspaper: York Gazette: Fatal Accident, 20 Dec 1881, York, York, PA. ⁵ Fatal Accident. On Monday morning of last week, as Paris Beecher, about 20 years of age, was engaged in dressing stone at Reiders mill, in Windsor Township, his coat was caught in the burr of a vertical shaft, and before the machinery could be stopped, he was whirled around it quite a number of times. His legs were painfully lacerated, and he also received serious internal injuries. The young man was in the employ of Mr. Reider. His injuries resulted in his death on Friday.
