  Christening Notes:

Sponsors were Abraham Rek and Margaret. The birth date is in dispute, apparently because the handwriting is difficult to interpret in the church book. Edward Wright in his "Adams Co. Church Records of the Eighteenth Century" listed both dates as: Oct. 21, 1789 [Dec 21 1789?] bapt. Mar 28, 1790. The transcription of the church record book to the IGI was entered as Dec 21 1789. The latter is more likely; often children in the 1700's were baptized either 30 or 90 days after birth.
