Kraft, proprietor of the Heidelberg grist mill, of near this place, and Miss Alverta May Beecher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Beecher, residing north of Spring Grove, in Jackson township, were married on Saturday evening. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. H. Ehrhart, pastor of the bridegroom, at the Jefferson Lutheran parsonage, at Glenville. The wedding was witnessed by Miss Mary Beecher, a sister of the bride, and George Bollinger, of Porters, who accompanied them in an automobile. Mr. and Mrs. Kraft will go to housekeeping next spring in a tenant house on the Kraft homestead.

6. Obituary: in Dec 1958 in York, York, PA. Alverta May Kraft, wife of Ira C. Kraft, Porters Sideling, died in the Hanover Hospital on Dec. 3, 1958, after a brief illness. Her age was 69 years. Daughter of the late Edward and Lovie Stambaugh Beecher, she was a faithful member of Trinity Church. Surviving besides her husband, are two sons, George W. and Glenn B. Kraft; six grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Sherman Ruth, Mrs. Clarence Berkheimer, Mrs. George Hoffman, and Mrs. William Boyer; and one brother, Edward Beecher. Her funeral was held on Dec. 6 at Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover. Her body was laid to rest in the Jefferson Cemetery.

7. Cause of Death: Alverta died at Hanover General Hospital from hypertensive heart disease, cerebral hemorrhage, cardiac failure, 3 Dec 1958, Hanover, York, PA. 2
