Mr. Boyer was employed 39 years by the Teldyne McKay Co. prior to his retirement in 1972. He was born at Graybill, near York New Salem, the son of the late Daniel and Minnie V. Doll Boyer.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, its Senior Members' group and the AARP.
Surviving also are a son, William E. Boyer, Jr., 1972 Sycamore Lane; a step-daughter, Mrs. Helen Frigm, 920 S. Russel St.; two grand-children, four step grand-children, three borthers, Charles Boyer, York RD 4; Russell Boyer, Findlay St., and Robert Boyer, Jasper Ave.; a half brother, Lewis Forry, Manchester RD 1, and two half sisters, Mrs. Annie Zartman, 1265 W. Poplar St., and Mrs. Helen Myers, 1263 W. Poplar St.
His pastor, the Rev. Robert K. Shaull, will officiate at the funeral Monday at 2 p.m. from the Heffner Funeral Home, 1701 W. Market St. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the origin fund at St. James Church.
