Nevin Beecher, of Chicago, formerly of this city, and Miss Lillie Gertrude Seacrist, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Seacrist, were married last evening. The ceremony took place at 7 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, 34 East College avenue, the Rev. Dr. E. F. Wiest, pastor of Heidelberg Reformed church, officiating. The bride was attended by Miss Gertrude Holtzapple, as maid of honor, while Clyde Buckingham acted as best man. Miss Dorothy Seacrist, sister of the bride, was flower girl, and Master J. Bernard Smith was the ring bearer. The ring ceremony of the Reformed church was observed. The bride was attired in a gown of white crepe meteor over messaline, trimmed in pearls and duchese lace. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Seacrist residence. Among the guests were a number from Philadelphia, Camden, Norristown and Chicago, Ill. The bride was the recipient of numerous presents, including china, cut glass and silverware. Both young people are graduates of York High school, of the class of 1906, of which Dr. Beecher was president. The newly married couple left last evening for Chicago, where the bridegroom has engaged in the practice of his profession. Miss Edyth Grace Beecher, sister of the bridegroom, will accompany the party to Chicago, where she will spend some time as a guest. After July 1, Dr. and Mrs. Beecher will be at home to their friends at their newly furnished apartment at 900 North State street. Dr. Beecher is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George C.
