He was born in York, Pa. on Aug. 23, 1910, the son of Jane Brown Beecher, with whom he resided, and the late Calvin M. Beecher Sr.

He was employed by A.O. Smith Corp. until his retirement five years ago.

Mr. Beecher was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Clark Beecher.

Survivors include, in addition to his mother, two daughters, Mrs. Sondra Adams, Whittier, Calif.; and Mrs. Sherman (Beverly) Yarington, West Springfield, Pa.; four sons, Roderick Beecher, Biloxi, Miss.; Robert Beecher, Lake City, Pa.; David Clark, Port Orchard, Wash.; and William Patterson, Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, Rev. David R. Beecher, North Augusta, S.C., and sixteen grand-children.

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Bailey Funeral Home, 2607 Buffalo Rd., today and Monday, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be conducted Tuesday, at 11 a.m., by Rev. David Beecher.

Interment will be in North East Cemetery.

Calvin married Mary Elizabeth Wolf, daughter of Elmer Thomas Wolf and Martha Irene Daniels, on 12 Jan 1935 in Westfield, Chautauqua, NY, USA.¹ (Mary Elizabeth Wolf was born on 24 May 1915 in Ripley, Chautauqua, NY,^{1 12 13 14 15} died on 10 Sep 2004 in Humboldt, Yavapai County, AZ ^{12 13 14 15} and was buried in Girard: Girard Cemetery, Erie, PA ¹⁵.)
