Samuel Bucher, saw miller, 29, was living with wife Susana, 26; Samuel, 7; Amanda, 5; and Alfred, 4. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. He owned no real estate and his possessions were worth $300.

The father of Jacob and Samuel above, Samuel Bucher, farmer, 66, was living with Mary, 62; Sarah, 20; and Elizabeth, 16. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. His real estate is worth $15,000 and possessions $1,000.

3. Census in 1870 in East Cocalico Twp., Lancaster, PA. ⁴ Jesse Bucher, farmer, 45, was living with wife Polly, 41; nephew Alfred Bucher, farm laborer, 14, and servant Harriet Stettel, 19. Jesse had no real estate and his personal estate was worth $1,000. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.
