1. Letter: Written by Henry Bucher, 14 Jun 1838. Addressed to Mr. Nicholas Bixler, c/o Anthony Culp, Masontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Henry Bucher addressed his letter "My dear Brothers and Sisters". It stated that his "beloved house wife" had died 11th June 1838", leaving two little infants. She had dinner with her parents then about one o'clock went to her own house with her sister Barbara [Roose]. She died soon therafter. This letter was sent from Greenford. It was folded and wax sealed to serve as its own envelope. In 1962 in hands of Ralph P. Tittsler, 503 New York Avenue, Tacoma Park, Maryland.

2. Census in 1850 in Greene Twp., Mahoning, OH. ¹ Henry Bucher, farmer, 27, was living with wife Elizabeth, 31; Elizabeth, 14; Mary, 12; Susanna, 7; and Henry, 1. Henry was born in York. Co., PA; his wife and Susanna in Fayette Co., PA; and the other children in Mahoning Co., OH.
