On April 14, 1777, Barbara Winderoth, wife of Jacob, and her siblings sold their father's land in Rapho Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Henry Mayer. The year after Jacob's death, the United States collected data for the Direct Tax or Window Tax, as it was also known. In the tax list, Barbara is shown as: Widow Winrot, lived in a one storey 20x30 log house with four windows and 12 lights on two acres, valued at $275.00. Located next to James McSherry. Barbara died without leaving a will. Son, John, was named to administer the estate. The administrator's bond stated that she was the widow and relict of Jacob Winterode, the Elder. The estate papers are on file at the Adams County Historical Society, Gettysburg, PA.

3. She appeared as a sponsor at a baptism on 1 Jan 1790 at Littlestown: Christ Reformed Church, Adams, PA. 12
