And now it becomes our painful duty to record the death of Mrs. Nortie D. Hudson, wife of Alonzo L. Hudson, of Lincoln, and daugter of Marting bucher Esqa of the place. Her death occurred on last Thursday afternoon, at the home of her parents, where she arrived just one week previous to her decease. Argos was the childhood home of Nortie, and as a child she was a universal favorite. As a young lady she was intelligent, dignified and refined -- the pride of the village. A short time before her marriage she removed with her parents to Lancaster, Ohio, and when she returned a bride was joyfully welcomed by her many friends. Since then the prosperity of Mr. and Mrs. Hudson has been a matter of interest to all who knew them. The funeral on Friday, was largely attended and the discourse and ceremonies were appropriate and impressive. The husband, upon whom rests the responsibility of rearing two motherlrss children, and the parents, who loved their daughter with utmost idolatrous affection, have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.

Narcissa married Alonzo L. Hudson on 14 Oct 1869 in Lancaster, Fairfield, OH.¹ (Alonzo L. Hudson was born on 28 Dec 1848 in Dexter, Washtenaw, MI and died on 12 Aug 1894 in Argos, Marshall, IN.)
