Beecher, age 86, of the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, formerly of Paradise, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Donald A. Beecher who passed away on December 3, 2005. She was born in Paradise, daughter of the late E. Roy & Flossie Singer Trout. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church of Paradise, where she helped with the clothing drive. She was the owner of the former E. Roy Trout & Son Egg Company of Paradise. She was a 1940 graduate of the former Paradise High School. She enjoyed bingo, bowling and going to her grandchildren's sporting events.

Surviving are two daughters: Sandy K. wife of Doug Miller of Paradise, Dawn M. wife of Jerry Mellinger of Strasburg, 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 siblings: Clara Rineer and Robert Trout.

Funeral service will take place from the Shivery Funeral Home, 3214 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, PA on Friday, February 27th, at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the St. John's Methodist Cemetery. Chaplain Stephen Phillips will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susquehanna Association for the Blind and Vision Impaired, 244 North Queen Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Helen married Donald Atlee Beecher, son of Benjamin Franklin Beecher and Nettie Salome Stevens, on 27 Oct 1951 in Paradise Twp., Lancaster, PA.^{1 2} (Donald Atlee Beecher was born on 18 Feb 1920 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA,^{5 6 7} died on 3 Dec 2005 in Quarryville, Lancaster, PA ^{5 7} and was buried in Paradise: St. John's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lancaster, PA ⁵.)
