Born in Cedar Knoll, West Brandywine Township, she was the daughter of the late James and Beatrice May Beecher. Dorothy was the widow of the late Allan W. Shannon who died in 1998. Dorothy was a member of Hibernia United Methodist Church, Coatesville. She was employed for many years as a seamstress with the former Cardinal Cotton. Dorothy is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by a brother, Earl J. Beecher. Dorothy's Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 13 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Hibernia United Methodist Church. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320.
