With sadness, the staff of the Community Courier reports the death of co-worker Virginia L. (Tiderman) Kidd Beecher, of Dover, on November 10. Ginny was receptionist and sales secretary in the Etters office of Engle Printing and Publishing Company, publisher of the York Community Courier.

Mrs. Beecher was the wife of Henry J. Beecher, who was employed as a sales representative by Engle Printing and Publishing Company from 1984 to 1995. Ginny joined the company in 1991, working at Engle's office on Loucks Road, York, until the office was moved to Newberry Commons, Etters, in August 1996.

Always professional, Ginny was much loved by co-workers and customers alike. Long-time customers asked for her by name when they called. Her genuine interest in people and their welfare was demonstrated by her attention to detail in handling customers' requests and her service as a mentor to many fellow workers. She was viewed as a good listener and a behind-the-scenes team player.

Ginny was known for her cheerful demeanor, her quick wit, and her delightful sense of humor. Intelligent, caring, and low-key, Ginny was first of all a family person. On a company personnel form, she listed achievements she was most proud of as "raising five children, living 63 years, and having a fairly good sense of humor."
