Wagman, 428 East Main street, and Henry Jacoby Beecher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Beecher, Manchester, were united in marriage last Saturday morning in the rectory of St. Joseph's Catholic church.
Rev. Joseph L. Browne, pastor, performed the single ring ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an invory satin gown with fitted bodice buttoned down the back and with a scalloped neckline. Her hooped skirt opened in a cascade of Chantilly lace ruffles and ended in a short train. Her finger-tip length mantilla veil of matching Chantilly lace was fastened with orange blossoms.
Mrs. Robert J. Klunk, 416 South Pleasant avenue, was her sister's only attendant. She wore a Victorian style, purple velvet gown with a portrait neckline and peneled back giving the effect of a train. Her flowers were orchids on a white ermine muff.
The bride's mother chose an olive-green dress with black accessories and the bridegroom's mother chose a gray crepe dress with black accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of orchids.
David Lory Beecher was his brother's best man. Mrs. Mary Louise Waltersdorf Koenig, York soloist, sang "Ich Liebe Dich" (Greig), "My Hero" and "L'Amour Tourjour." Music was furnished by Bernard Hochberger and his orchestra.
A wedding breakfast was held in Hotel Yorktowne, York. After a wedding trip in New York city the couple will reside in their new home in Manchester.
The bride is a graduate of Barry college, Miami, Fla., and of the division of the College of William and Mary which is located in Richmond, Va.
The bridegroom was graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1948. He is now a partner with his parents in the firm of Katherine Beecher, Manchester.

Henry was born July 27, 1922 in Greensboro, N.C. and was the son of the late Henry and Katharine Beck (Jacoby) Beecher.
He graduated from Manchester High School in 1940 and later earned a degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II. He was the co-owner of the Katharine Beecher Candies in Manchester until the company was sold. He worked in sales with Engle Printing in Mount Joy and later was employed by Peoples State Bank in East Berlin in their Marketing Department until his retirement. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester where he was very active and served on several church committees in various positions. He also was a member of the York County Historical Society and Lancaster County Historical Society. In his later years Henry poured his life into Genealogy
Henry is survived by his two sons, Stephen Beecher and his wife, Lisa of Middlebrook, Va., Jonathan Beecher and his wife, Mary Beth of York; his two daughters, Katharine Detwiler and her husband, David of York and Victoria Godfrey and her husband, Timothy Smith of Swoope, Va.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his brother, David Beecher and his wife, Elaine of York. Henry was preceded in death by a brother, Kennette Beecher.
A celebration of life service will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday June 8, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 66 S. Main St., Manchester. Burial will be Private. Officiating at the service will be his pastor, The Reverend Edwina Landry from Christ Lutheran Church.
