2. Newspaper: Marion Daily Star, 29 Jun 1893, Marion, Marion, OH. 12 Harry Beicher, son of George M. Beicher, is recovering from what was feared would be a very serious illness. A few days ago a young companion pierced the back on one of his hands with a rusty pen. It became sore and the boy was threatened with blood poisoning, as well as spinal meningitis. Dr. O. W. Weeks lanced the hand this forenoon greatly improving its condition.

La Rue, apprentice machinist, 18, Jul 1881. George and Irene were born in Pennysylvania, the others in Ohio. Everyone's parents were born in Pennsylvania except Ben's father in Ohio.

Miss Helen Ratcliffe and Harry Beicher Are United In Marriage Today -- Out of Town Guests

A notable wedding occurred at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon, when Miss Genevieve Inez Ratcliffe was united in Marriage to Mr. Harry Frescoln Beicher.
The nuptials were solemnized at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Beicher, 809 Lake avenue, in the presence of a number of guests both from this city and abroad.
Dr. J. L. Hewitt of Milwaukee, a relative of the bridge, read the service. The bride was attractively attired in a gown of white batiste over white messaline trimmed with baby Irish lace. She carried a beautiful bouquet of bridal roses.
She was attended by Miss Edith Beicher as maid of honor, who wore a beautiful gown of pale green silk, and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. Miss Gertrude Freeman, in a gown of blue silk, carried pink roses.
Paul Beicher, a brother, and Mr. Alfred Anderson attended the groom.
Lohengrin's wedding march was rendered with Miss Dorothy Kastler presiding at the piano. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Florence Lutz sand a solo in a very praiseworthy manner. Miss Coralyn Doolittle acting as the accompanist.
Following the ceremony, a wedding supper was served, followed by a reception, about hundred being present many from out of the city. The gifts were many and beautiful.
Mr. and Mrs. Beicher will depart this evening for a brief wedding tour, after October first making their home at Minneapolis.
The bride is the only daughter of Mrs. Henry Sylvester Ratcliffe, and is a young woman, popular in the circles where she has lived and mingled since childhood.
Mr. Beicher is a popular young business man who has resided in the city for the past several years. A few months ago he removed to Minneapolis where he now hold a responsible position with the Union Special Machine company.
The interior of the home was tastefully decorated. The entire decorations being done under the direct supervision of Mrs. Stella Horlick and Miss Gertrude Freeman. The south living room where the ceremony was performed was decorated with pink lillies. The prevailing colors in the decorations were pink and yellow, the former being entirely used in the parlor and library decorations while the dining room was entirely in pink.
Among the guests from out of town were: Miss Grace Margerum, Chicago; Dr. and Mrs. J. L. Hewitt, Milwaukee; Miss Maybelle Hewitt, Milwaukee; Miss Katherine Hewitt, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. George Hewitt, Appleton; Mrs. Rod Jones, Chicago; Miss Harriet Miller, Columbus, O.; Harry Boyd, Marion, O.; Mr.s and Mrs. Joseph Washburn, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Parsons and son Lester, Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Roberts, and Mrs. Harry Roberts, all of Elgin, Ill., and Charles Ratcliffe, of Chicago.

Announcement was received here today of the recent marriage in Nevada of Mrs. Joseph Washburn, sister of Paul Parsons of this city, and Harry Frescoln Biecher, which took place April 27 at Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Omar Manley, formerly of Elgin, were present as attendants for the double-ring marriage ceremony uniting the couple. The bride and groom took a honeymoon trip to San Francisco. They expect to be here for a visit with Belvidere friends and relatives about July 15 this summer. Mr. biecher is formerly of Racine, Wis., while his wife has recently been a resident at 907 Fourteenth street, Santa Monica, Cal. She formerly made her home here from 1914 to 1928.
