The baptismal ceremony was performed during the morning service at Bethany Evangelical United Brethren Church by Rev. G. N. Klinger. The child was given the name Frederick George. Sponsors were an aunt, Miss Dorothy Beacher, Philadelphia and an uncle, Arthur Beacher Jr., of Frackille.
A family dinner was served following the christening.

A party was held Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gibbons, Shenandoah Heights, in honor of the sixth birthday of their son, Fred Jr. Tables were attractively decorated in blue and pink, featuring two birthday cakes and colored balloons.

A civil suit in excess of $20,000 each has been filed against the Pottsville Hospital and Dr. Ching Ho Lin by Lynette E. Klingaman Gibbons and Frederick Gibbons, 29 Lafayette St., Tamaqua, in the Schuylkill County Court. The suit claims that on Nov. 17, 1980, Lynne Klingaman Gibbons underwent surgery at the hospital and that, through alleged negligence, suffered a perforated colon.
It is alleged that Dr. Ching Ho Lin performed the surgery.

Frederick Gibbons, 31, of Tamaqua, was treated at Pottsville Hospital for an arm injury he received when his car was forced off the road by a car traveling in the wrong lane. State police said the accident occurred at 10:45 p.m. Thursday as Gibbons was traveling south on Route 209, about a mile east of Cumbola. Trooprs said Gibbons was forced off road by a car traveling north in the southbound lane and his car struck a dirt embankment.
