Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Helen Kemp Beacher, Lynchburg; his father, James Beacher, Elkton, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Tammy Goodyear, Elkton; one foster brother, Tony Smiley, Johnson City, Tenn., and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Thelma Kemp, Johnson City.
