(Beecher) Foley, 64, of Moon Township, formerly of Allegheny Township, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, in the Friendship Ridge, Beaver. She was born April 17, 1947, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Helen R. (Zimmerman) Beecher, of Cabot, and the late H. Glenn Beecher, who died Dec. 9, 2007. She was employed at Levin's Furniture for 21 years as an assistant manager, formerly working at Denny's Restaurant. Before her marriage, she was a flight attendant for Allegheny Airlines in Pittsburgh and was previously employed by the First National Bank in Leechburg. A member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg, she was a 1965 graduate of Kiski Area High School in Allegheny Township and a 1967 graduate of Allegheny Airlines Hostess School in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Foley enjoyed reading, shopping, cooking and dining out. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Joseph V. Foley; two sons, Dennis G. (Kelly) Foley, of Southhaven, Miss., and Christopher J. (Leslie) Foley, of Economy; four grandsons, Garrett, Mason, Grant and Samuel Foley; her mother, Helen R. (Zimmerman) Beecher, of Cabot; two brothers, Mark K. (Anne) Beecher, of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Kevin G. Beecher, of Leechburg; a sister, Christine A. (Dr. James) Wells, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; three aunts, Margaret (Sanders) Martin, of Denton, Md., Dorothy Bush, of Winston Salem, N.C., and Martha (Harold) Quayle, of Rockville, Md. She was much loved by her brother- and sisters-in-law, especially sister-in-law, Sister Gertrude Foley, of Greensburg; brother-in-law, Frank Meredith, of Wexford, and the late Mary Anne Meredith. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Relatives and friends will be welcomed to participate in her memorial ceremonies at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Leechburg. Officiating will be the Rev. Philip S. Ramstad, interim pastor. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Allegheny Township. The CLAWSON FUNERAL HOME, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, is serving her family.
