Census in 1900 in Jacksons, Schuylkill, PA. ² The 1900 census recorded Alfred Harix, coal laborer, 33, born Jun 1867, living with wife Emma, 30, Nov 1870; Harold, 7, Apr 1893; Ethel, 5, May 1895; and Hazel, 3, Oct 1897. They were married 11 years and Emma had given birth to 4 children, 3 still alive in 1900. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania except Alfred's parents in England.

2. Obituary: Shenandoah Evening Herald on 12 Nov 1900 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. ⁴ Deaths and Funerals. Ethel, the five-year-old daughter of Alfred and Emma Horrox, was buried this afternoon. The funeral took place from the family residence at Jacksons, where services were conducted by Rev. O. E. Stogden, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church of town. The remains were brought to town and interred in the Odd Fellows' cemetery, by J. P. Williams & Son, the funeral directors.
