His occupation is listed as Stage Driver. Their birthplaces are missing on the census form. They were living in the town of New Castle within New Castle Township. 2. Census in 1860 in New Castle Twp., Schuylkill, PA. 11 The 1860 census recorded William Jacobs, day laborer, 40, living with wife, Mary, 36; and daughters Sarah J., 14, and Emma , 6. Next door (on the previous census page) is Mary A. Jacobs, servant, 16, living in a hotel owned by hotel keeper Robert Philips, 60. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. The post office was Broad Mountain. 3. Census in 1870 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 12 While Benjamin is listed in Shenandoah living with his brothers and mother, his wife Sarah Bucher [sic], age 24, is in Shenandoah living without her husband on the day the census was recorded: 20 Aug 1870. The only other person in the household is her daughter, Emma, age 1. 4. Census in 1880 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 10 The 1880 census recorded on Center Street in Shenandoah: Benjamin Beacher, miner, 35, living with wife, Sarah Jane, 33; daughters Emma, 10, Laura, 8, Sallie, 6, and Angeline, 5, son Benjamin, 3, and daughter Mary, 1. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Sarah married Benjamin Franklin Beacher Sr., son of Jacob Beacher and Angeline Eisenhuth, on 13 May 1866 in Fountain Springs, Schuylkill, PA.1 2 (Benjamin Franklin Beacher Sr. was born on 16 May 1845 in Mahanoy Plane, Schuylkill, PA 1 13 14 15 16 17, christened on 28 Sep 1853 in Pottsville: Trinity Lutheran Church, Schuylkill, PA,14 died on 22 Nov 1922 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA 1 13 15 16 17 and was buried on 25 Nov 1922 in Shenandoah Heights: Odd Fellows Cemetery, Schuylkill, PA 1 13 15 16 17 18 19.)
