1. Obituary: Columbus Republic: obituary of Sara E. Beeker on 23 Sep 2001 in Columbus, Bartholomew, IN. ² HOPE -- Sara E. Beeker, 91, of Hope died at 1:52 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at Miller's Merry Manor.

Mrs. Beeker was a charter member of Bartholomew County Women's Christian Temperance Union. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and First Baptist Church in Hope. She was active in Child Evangelism Fellowship through the Good News Club. She was a homemaker.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hankins officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship or donor's choice of charities.

Mrs. Beeker was born Aug. 9, 1910, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of Oliver and Opal Thayer Nading. She married Glen F. Beeker Aug. 30, 1928. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Lowell T. "Tom" Beeker of Hope; brothers, Lincoln and John Nading, both of Hope; sisters, Mary Gant and Ruth Ritchison, both of Hope; grandchildren, Cheryl Finke and Daniel and Jean Beeker, all of Hope, Brent Beeker of Constantine, Mich., Bruce Beeker of Greenfield, and Angela Beeker of Springfield, Mo.; and 11 great'96grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, John Oliver and Glen Edgar Beeker; brothers, Charles and Paul Nading; and a sister, Thelma Brumfield.
