Joseph J. Twardzik. son of Mrs. Josephine Twardzik. a well known voung mai of town, and Miss Mary M. Mozdyniewicz, one of the town's popular young women, were united in marriage at five o'clock last evening in. St. Casimir's church. the Rev. Dabrowski officiating.
The wedding was witnessed by numerous, friends and relatives of the contracting parties. The bride was attired in a hand. somely designed gown of white charmense trimmed in heavy Trish lace. She wore a beautiful veil and carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies. She was attended by Miss Mary Benick, an intimate friend, who wore a pink crepe de chine gown and carried roses and lilies of the valley. Both made a pretty appearance. The groom was attended by his brother, Frank Twardzik. After the ceremony the bridal party were driven to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mozdyniewicz, the former the well known saloonkeeper, where an elaborate wedding dinner was served and a reception held at which the couple were showered with congratulations. They received many beautiful presents. Mr. and Mrs. Twardrik are both well known and popular among a large circle of friends. They were serenaded by the Warsaw band of which the groom is a member. They will go to housekeeping in a handsomely furnished home on Poplar street.

3. Obituary: Evening Herald: obituary of Joseph Twardzik on 7 Jun 1972 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 3 Joseph J. Twardzik, 39 South White street, Shenandoah, life member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 170, died today in Locust Mountain Hospital after a long illness. Born in Park Place, he lived in Shenandoah since a boy and was a son of the late John and Josephine Twardzik. His wife Mary (Mozdyniewicz) died in 1967. Years ago he played with the Goulash Band, the Warsaw Band, Krieger's and the Jolly Jack Robel orchestras.
A retired miner he worked at Shenandoah City Colliery and at Maple Hill over 50 years. He was a member of St. Casimir's Church and the Holy Name Society.
He leaves three daughters and a son: Chris, Shenandoah, with whom he resided; Alberta wife of John Delaney, Rolling Hills, Calif.; Leona wife of Algert Simaitis, Cleveland; Georgine wife of Joseph Guinn, Willingburg, N.J. Also 11 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren, four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Nora Jerzak, Margaret Twardzik, Helen wife of William Tomcavage, all of Shenandoah, Anna wife of Richard Schmaucher, New York; Walter and Paul, Shenandoah, nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday from Walukiewicz Funeral Parlors. Alex Wentz has charge.
