SUNBURY St. Monica Catholic Church was the setting for the double-ring ceremony uniting Janet Sabotchick and William Douglas Bucher in marriage. The Father William Haviland performed the 2 p.m. service Nov. 11.
The bride is the daughter, of David and JoAnn Sabotchick of Shamokin Dam. The bridegroom is the son of David and Sheryl Stover of Selinsgrove.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white slipper gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. long-tapered Dior capped sleeves. fitted Basque waist and circular skirt with a cathedral train. Wide bands of battenbarg lace accented the bodice, sleeves, skirt and train. Sequins and pearls were sewn to the gown. Her hairpiece had satin roses, was trimmed with pearls with ribboning along the edging, and held tiers of illusion veiling. Long satin ribbons and silk lily of the valley accented her cathedral veiling.
The bride chose Lisa Ragantesi of Silver Spring, Md. as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Sabotchick of Selinsgrove, sister-in-law of the bride. Charity Eremich of Georgia and Tara Kaleta of Kulpmont, cousins of the bride, Lisa Richart of Lewisburg and Bobbie Wilhour of Edgewater, Md. The flower girl was Megan Hulsizer of Sunbury.
Best man was brother of the bridegroom, Ronie E. Bucher II of Gaithersburg, Md. The ushers were Ronald Sabotchick, Selinsgrove, brother of the bride, Matthew Stover, Selinsgrove, brother of the bridegroom. Kevin Dressler, Selinsgrove, Chad Gemberling, Matthews, N.C. and Paul Callahan, Philadelphia. The ring bearers were cousins of the bridegroom, Daniel and Adam Swope, both of Williamsport.
Guest book attendant was cousin of the bride, Krystal Adams of Kulpmont. Music was provided by Joyful Noise.
A reception for 180 guests was held at Susquehanna Valley Country Club, Hummels Wharf. After a honeymoon to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple are living in Trout Run.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in elementary education. She is employed as a substitute teacher by several school districts.
The bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Susquehanna University with a degree in accounting. He is an accountant employed by Parente, Randolph. Orland, Cary and Associates, Williamsport.
