Born October 19, 1924 in Davie County, he was the son of the late Alice Myers Beeker and Elmo Lee Beeker.

A veteran of the United States Army, he served during World War II. Mr. Beeker was a brick mason.

Preceding him in death was one brother Harold Beeker and sister Hilda Seaford.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Sink Beeker of Lexington, whom he married December 20, 1943; sons, Charles Graham Beeker (Diane) of Winston-Salem, Richard Lee Beeker (Tresa), Nelson Glenn Beeker (Sherri), all of Lexington; daughters, Carol Long of Winston-Salem and Jean Beeker Spainhour (William) of Lexington; brother Burton Beeker; sisters, Melba Leonard, Lala Tussey (Dave), all of Lexington; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation/Service: 8:30-9:30 AM - Monday, January 3, 2011 at Lyerly Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 10:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury. A chaplain of the VA Medical Center will officiate. Following the burial, a memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the VA Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury.
