1. Obituary: Asbury Park Press: obituary of Helen M. Bicher on 4 Sep 1991 in Asbury Park, Monmouth, NJ. 1 2 HELEN M. BICHER, 71, of Normandy Beach, BRICK TOWNSHIP, and Hackensack, died yesterday at 1 Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated from the Michigan School of Nursing. She was a full-time director at Holy Trinity School Library, Hackensack, and was a registered nurse at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck Township. She was past president of Bergen-Hackensack district of the National Council of Catholic Women; past president of Newark Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women; charter member of the Columbiettes of Trinity Council 747, Hackensack, and received the prestigious "Pro Ecclesia" from Pope John Paul II in 1979. She was the treasurer of Normandy Beach Improvement Association and served as secretary for 26 years. Mrs. Bicher was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., and lived in Hackensack for 48 years, and in Normandy Beach for 30 years.
Surviving are her husband, Leo B. Bicher, three sons, Leonard, Stanhope; Thomas, Hackensack, and Richard, Encinitas, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Williams, Point Pleasant, and six grandchildren. Gormley-Gentile Funeral Home, Hackensack, and Timothy E. Ryan Funeral Home, Lavallette, are in charge of arrangements.

BICHER -- Helen M. (nee Jasaitis) on Sept. 3, 1991 of Normandy Beacher and Hackensack. Beloved wife of Leo B. Bicher. Devoted mother of Leonard, Thomas, Richard and Barbara Williams. Loving grandmother of six grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack, on Friday, Sept. 6, at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack. Friends may call at the Timothy E. Ryan Funeral Home, Rt. 35 North, Lavallette, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Gormley-Gentile Funeral Home, 335 Union St., Hackensack, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.


Helen married Leo B. Bicher Jr., son of Leo B. Bicher Sr. and Mary E. (Leo B. Bicher Jr. was born on 9 Mar 1919 in Hackensack, Bergen County, NJ 3 4 and died on 8 Jan 2002 in Normandy Beach, Ocean, NJ 4 5.)
