Elwood, Ind., March 2. Mrs. Lucinda Jane Snooks, 81, widow of Jefferson Snooks, died in an Indianapolis hospital at 2 o'clock this morning, following a long illness. The body was brought to the Copher and Fesler funeral home here. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cliffie Mull, of Homer; Mrs. Wretha Young, of Los Angeles, Cal.; and Mrs. Alta Grimm, of north of Elwood; one son, Omie Snooks, of Elwood; two brothers, George Osborn, Denver, Colo., and Joseph Osborn, of Marion; one sister, Mrs. Ida Hinds, of Huntington; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Snooks was born in Grant County. Her husband died twenty years ago.
