Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dunn's Funeral Home on Grand Avenue, with burial in Glendale Cemetery, for Mrs. Lois Nagle Carney, 80, at the Americana Nursing Center, 300 Laurel St. Mrs. Carney died there Thursday after a lengthy illness. A Brookston, Ind., native, Mrs. Carney lived in Des Moines since 1914. She was graduated from DePauw University, and had been a member of the Board of the YWCA and a member of the DAR, Des Moines Businesswomen's Club and Cottage Grove Avenue United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Carney was the widow of Kreigh G. Carney, a longtime Des Moines business leader. She is survived by three sons, Robert N. of Des Moines, John B. of Boston, Mass., and Kreigh G., Jr., of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, John C. Nagle of Brookston, and 10 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Cottage Grove avenue United Presbyterian Church.
