BROOKSTON, Jan. 2. -- John Joseph Nagle, 76, of Brookston, well-known retired farmer, died of a heart attack at 9:45 p. m. Wednesday at the Home hospital, Lafayette. Born in Otterbein Jan. 22, 1864, he married Luella Jane Beeker in 1886. He attended DePauw university, and was associated in many business enterprises and social activities here. A member of the Otterbein Methodist church, he also belonged to the Brookston Masonic lodge, O. E. S., Scottish Rite, Shrine and the Phi Delta Theta social fraternity. Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. K. G. Carney, Des Moines, la.; a son, John C. Nagle, Battle Ground, and two sisters, Mrs. C. O. Van Natta. Battle Ground, and Mrs. Eva Sutton, Orlando, Fla. Friends may call at the family residence after 10 a. m. Friday. Funeral services will be arranged later.
