Rites for Griff G. Marcy, 74, former Indianapolis policeman and father of two men on the police force, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Jordan Funeral Home. He died Saturday in Veterans Administration Hospital on West 10th. His home was at 1217 N. Jefferson. Marcy was a veteran of World War I. He was a patrolman in the Police Department in the 1920s. His sons are Beauferd Marcy, a lieutenant in the detective division, and Jack Marcy, a patrolman in the uniform division. Five years ago Marcy retired as a gear cutter for the Link-Belt Co., where he worked 23 years. He was a member of Prospect Masonic Lodge and East Tenth Street Methodist Church.
