Pruitt, a former pastor of First Methodist church in La Grande, died yesterday morning of heart disease in Ontario, according to Rev. H. J. Gernhardt, pastor of the local church. Pruitt left First Methodist to take the church in Ontario in June 1948. He had been pastor here for three years. His death was the result of a severe heart attack last Thursday. A memorial service for the clergyman will be held at a time and place not yet announced.
