He was preceded by a brother, Ernest Zimmerman, an infant brother, Richard, and an infant sister, Helen. Pheryl is survived by his wife of 49 years; sons Pheryl David (Rebecca Stauffer), Terry (Grace Wenger), Ernest (Anita Auker), Eric (Civilla Wenger) and Stewart (Loretta Zimmerman); daughters; Dawn (Christian Stauffer), Sandra (Norman Stauffer), Susan (Allen Stauffer) and Irma Lynn (Mark Zimmerman) 64 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers; Harold (Patricia) Stanley (Beatrice) and Nathan (Linda); sisters; Louella Zimmerman, Bernice Shroll and Evelyn Stauffer; and sister-in-law, Marion Zimmerman.
Pheryl was a farmer his whole life and a member of the Stauffer Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be Monday, October 20, 2014, at Pickett Run Farm 14415 Cynthiana Rd., Hillsboro, OH from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday at Pickett Run Farm and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Stauffer Mennonite Church on Brier Rd., Bainbridge, OH. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
