Was Prominent Worker at Brandywine Summit Camp
Mrs. Mary L. Rambo, widow of Jacob Rambo, for many years in charge of the St. Paul's boarding tent at Brandywine Summit, died yesterday morning at 11.30 in the Homeopathic Hospital from heart trouble. She was in her sixty-first year. The aged woman was widely known to all Summit visitors. She was taken ill last Thursday and was brought to the Homeopathic Hospital Friday. She had been ailing for some time. In addition to her Brandywine Summit boarding tent, Mrs. Rambo was an active worker at Union M. E. Church, where she had many friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the residence of her son, Harvey A. Yates, 1906 West street, following which the body will be taken to Elkton for interment in Elkton M. E. Cemetery. Mrs. Rambo, who was a native of Maryland and lived in this city twenty years, in the neighborhood of Sixth and Jefferson streets. Her eagerness to do others a service endeared her to every one. Several children survive.
