14. Obituary: Lebanon Semi-Weekly News on 31 Mar 1930 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. 5 Mrs. Lizzie Biecher, widow of Benjamin Biecher, passed away Saturday at her home, 209 South Harrison street, Palmyra. She was ill five months, suffering from a complication of diseases. She was aged 62 years and was widely known in Lebanon, having resided here during the greater part of her career. Her husband was one time engaged in the tobacco and cigar-making business here, and later conducted a grocery for a term of years at Tenth and Walnut streets. His last years were spent at Eighth and Maple streets, where he bought the old-time Exchange hotel and converted it into a restaurant and ice cream parlor. He died there on November 1, 1926. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Biecher lived for a time at New Haven, Conn., but last year returned to this county, and since then resided at Palmyra. She was a member of Tabor Reformed church, this city, and was held in high esteem in a largo circle of friends. She leaves a son and daughter: George R., and Miss Helen May Biecher, both of Palmyra; a grandchild, Eleanor Elizabeth Biecher; and seven sisters: Mrs. F. Z. Miller, Ms. Frank S. Bromer, Miss Christie Risser, Miss Kate Rlsser, Miss Fran Rlsser, Miss Bertha Risser and Jane Risser. Funeral be at the home of her sister, Mrs. Harry Rice.
