Obituary: Altoona Tribune: obituary of Henry Felty Bucher on 15 Apr 1907 in Altoona, Blair, PA. 2 Henry Felty Bucher, a well known resident of this city residing at 516 Fifth avenue, died of heart trouble and dropsy at his home yesterday morning at 8:25 o'clock. Deceased was born at Fredericksburg, Lebanon county, 63 years and 27 days ago, being the eldest son of Peter (deceased) and Elizabeth Bucher. In 1862 he left his native county and located In Centre county, where he learned cabinet making. He later engaged in the furniture business in Bellefonte, where he remained for a few years, coming to Altoona in 1872 to enter the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad companv. He remained here until 1876, and during the business panic returned to Bellefonte. Two years later he came back to Altoona and re-entered the shops of the railroad company and had since been a resident of the city. Until two years ago, when ill health forced him to leave the services of the company, he was a gang foreman in the company passenger car shops at Fourth street. Mr. Bucher was twice married. On Mav 15, 1883, he was married to Sarah Emily Ingram, who survives him, as does one daughter, Rosana, at home. He is also survived by three brothers: E. G. and Adam, of Altoona and Samuel F., of Jefferson, Oklahoma; also by two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Bohn, of Onset, Lebanon county, and Miss Elizabeth Bucher, who resides with the aged mother at Fredericksburg, Lebanon county. Deceased was one of the charter members of the Chestnut Avenue Methodist Episcopal church, having served in various official capacities during his lengthy membership. He was also a member of .Mountain City lodge of Odd Fellows, Elmo Castle No. 534, Knights of the Golden Eagle, commandery No. 66, Knights of Malta, Altoona conclave No. 132, Improved Order of Heptasophs and was a director of the Fame Building and Loan association. Deceased was a God-fearing man, good husband and father. He had many relatives and friends in Altoona who mourn his loss. The remains can be viewed on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 o'clock. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the house. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. It is requested that flowers be omitted.

12. Obituary: Democratic Watchman on 19 Apr 1907 in Bellefonte, Centre, PA. 7 Henry Felty Bucher, a well known resident of Altoona, died on Sunday morning of heart trouble and dropsy. Deceased was a native of Lebanon County and was sixty-three years old. In 1862 he came to Centre County and learned the cabinet makers trade and several years later he located in Bellefonte and engaged in the furniture business. He lived here until 1872 when he went to Altoona and entered the service of the Pennsylvania railroad company. He lived in the Mountain city until 1876, during the business panic, when he returned to Bellefonte and remained here two years. In 1878 he again moved to Altoona, where he lived ever since. Two years ago he was compelled to retire from active service on account of ill health. Mr. Bucher was twice married and is survived by his second wife and one daughter, Miss Rosanna, at home. He was a member of the Methodist Church, an Odd Fellow, a Knight of the Golden Eagle, A Knight of Malta and a Heptasoph. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon, interment being made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
