Mr. Beeker and the former Anita Ray were married Oct. 25, 1964, at the United Methodist Church in Hope by the Rev. Raymond Kennedy. Mr. Beeker is a self-employed farmer. Mrs. Beeker is a retired homemaker. The couple have three children: Angela Coursey, Jean Beeker and Daniel T. Beeker (deceased). They also have three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
4. Obituary: on 16 Jul 2024 in Hope, Bartholomew, IN. 3 Lowell Tom Beeker, 81, of Hope, passed from this life at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at his home with his family at his side. Mr. Beeker was born April 22, 1943, in Hope, Indiana, the son of Glen F. and Sara Nading Beeker. He married Anita J. Ray October 25, 1964. Tom was a retired dairy and grain farmer and loved telling stories, many "true" and some to prank you or keep you guessing. He was a member of Westside Community Church and most recently attended First Baptist Church of Hope where he was involved in many leadership rolls, including but not limited to, Bible study groups, Brothers of the Light and fellowship breakfast and Bible study at First Baptist Church. He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ his Savior and loved to share it with others and giving out faith-based pens. He was a devoted family man and loved being with his wife of nearly 60 years and spending time with family, friends and cousins. He was a Veteran of the Army Reserve during the Vietnam War serving from 1964 to 1970. Survivors include his wife, Anita; daughters, Angela Coursey and Jean Beeker both of Hope; grandchildren, Daniel T. Beeker II, Nicole Mikel Beeker and Carly Sara Beeker; and a great-grandson, Lincoln Joseph Vogel. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel T. Beeker; and two brothers, John O. Beeker and Glen Edgar Beeker. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Hope in Hope, Indiana with Dennis Chasteen and Dennis Aud officiating. Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 9:30 a.m. to time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Hope, Westside Community Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Arrangements by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
