Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

2. Census in 1930 in Reading, Berks, PA. ⁷ The 1930 census recorded Pauline Homan, 15, unemployed, as a "roomer" at 125 Penn St. rented by Peter Burkman, sales clerk in merchandise store, 27, single. Also living with them is Margaret Yoder, 21, and her children: Jean, 3, and Kenneth, 1. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

The 1950 census recorded at 547 N. 14th Street: Gordon Golden, proprietor for sign display company, 50, living with wife Pauline, 36; son Kenneth Golden born Jun 1949; step son Robert Burkhart, 17; step son David Burkhart, 13; step daughter Barbara Burkhart, 11. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

A 38-year-old Temple mother and two of her three children were injured at 9 o'clock last night when the late model convertible in which they were returning from Atlantic City careened off Route 122 a mile north of Morgantown, felled an evergreen tree and crashed into a house.
Mrs. Pauline Golden, the mother, is in critical condition in Reading hospital with a fractured skull and multiple cuts of the face. She was driving the automobile when the accident occurred.
Her 3-year old son, Kenneth, and a daughter by a previous marriage, Barbara Burkhart, 13, also are in the hospital. Kenneth with cuts of the scalp and right leg and possible internal injuries and Barbara with abrasions of the arms and legs, face cut, and possible internal injuries.
Another daughter, Mary Louise, 1, apparently was uninjured.
Troopers Michael Terefenko and Warren Werner of the Reading State police, said the car sped off the road and over a 4-inch high shoulder, then struck the 25-foot high evergreen tree, which was about 1 foot in diameter at its base, and crashed into the front of the house.
Three ambulances transported the injured to the hospital and the uninjured daughter home.

8. Obituary: Reading Eagle: obituary of Pauline C. Hardy on 12 Nov 1997 in Reading, Berks, PA. ⁵ Pauline C. Hardy, 82, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Temple, died of cancer early Tuesday morning in Kino Community Hospital, Tucson, where she had been a patient since Nov. 3.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Hardy.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Merle and Mary L. (Bernhart) Homan.
Hardy was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall West, Muhlenberg Township.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary L., wife of Ray K. Hines, Tucson; and two sons: Robert E. Burkhart, Cedar Park, Texas, and Kenneth G. Golden, Bernville.
Other survivors include a brother, Merle Homan, Pine Grove, Schuylkill County; and a sister, Doris, wife of Raymond Gracey, Mount Penn.
There are also 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, David M. Burkhart, and a daughter, Barbara A. Bortz.
The Abbey Funeral Chapel, Tucson, is in charge of arrangements.

Pauline next married Gordon Elwood Golden, son of Allen Cyrus Bingaman and Clara Elizabeth Beechert, on 27 Nov 1948.¹ The marriage ended in divorce.
