Russell, 74. of 260 Quarry Hill Road in Newville, will be held at the convenience of the family. He died Friday, March 12, 1999 at his home. Bom Jan. 20, 1925 in Hays Grove to the late Simon and Viola (Beecher) Russell, he was a veteran of World War II. A construction worker, he was a former employee of Penn Township and John F. Wallers Excavating. He is survived bv his wife, Wardna of Newville; a son, Ronald of Carlisle; two daughters, Linda Pattison of Shippensburg and Deborah Tressler of Mt. Holly Springs; a stepson, Barry of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and two great-grand-children. A memorial sevice will be held later at Westminster Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Cremation Society of Harrisburg. Contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 117 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17103.
