She was a member of Hayes Grove United Brethren Church. Survivors are her husband and these daughters and sons, Mrs. Pearl Baughman, Grantville; Mrs. Ruth Kough, Hayes Grove; Miss Ella, at home; John Beecher, Centerville; Herman Beecher, Wormleysburg; Mrs. Viola Russell, Hayes Grove; Samuel Beecher, Hockersville; Paul and Carl Beecher, both at home; two half-sisters, Mrs. Belle Smith, Carlisle, and Mrs. Irene Whitmyer, State College, and a half-brother, Wallace Gilbert, Harrisburg, and twenty-seven grand-children.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 10.30 o'clock Wednesday morning, the Rev. Palmer Flenker, Oakville, Hayes Church. Burial will be in the Newville Cemetery. The body may be viewed at the home 7 to 9 o'clock Tuesday evening.

Obituary: News-Chronicle: Mrs. John Beecher Dies at Hays Grove on 17 Aug 1937 in Shippensburg, Cumberland, PA. 19 Mrs. John Beecher, 68, died Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock at her home at Hays Grove. She was a member of the Hays Grove United Brethren Church. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Martha Gilbert.
The survivors are five sons and four daughters: Herman Beecher, Harrisbug; John Beecher, Centerville; Raymond Beecher, Hockersville; Paul and Earl Beecher, at home; Mrs. Owen Boughman, Wormleysburg; Mrs. Marshall Kough, Hays Grove; Mrs. Simon Russell, Hays Grove, and Miss Ella Beecher, at home.
John Beecher, her husband, also survives her; and these half-sisters and brother: Mrs. Belle Smith, Carlisle; Mrs. Irene Whitmyer, State College; and Wallace Gilbert, Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning with services at the house being conducted by Rev. Palmer Slenker of Oakville. Burial will be in Newville cemetery.

10. Obituary: Valley Times-Star: obituary of Carrie I. Beecher on 19 Aug 1937 in Newville, Cumberland, PA. 10 Mrs. Carrie I. Beecher, 67, wife of John S. Beecher, died at her home in Hockersville, Sunday morning. She was a life-long member of Hays Grove United Brethren Church.
She is survived by her husband, five sons and four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Baughman, Grantville; Mrs. Ruth Kough, Hays Grove; Miss Ella, at home; John Beecher, Centerville; Herman Beecher, Wormleysburg; Mrs. Viola Russell, Hays Grove; Samuel Beecher, Hockersville; Paul and Carl Beecher, both at home; two half-sisters, Mrs. Belle Smith, Carlisle, and Mrs. Irene Whitmeyer, State College, and a half-brother, Wallace Gilbert, Harrisburg, and 27 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning with the Rev. Palmer Slenker, Oakville, pastor of Hays Grove United Brethren Church, officiating. Burial was in the Newville Cemetery.
