Mrs. Grace (Slocum) Smith, 76 of 216 Sheetz street West Lafay ette, died at 7 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth hospital where she had been a patient five hours. She had been in failing health several years. Born in Lafayette, she spent her life in this community with the exception of 20 years in Chicago. She was married in 1909 to Bert W. Smith, who, died in 1935. She was a member of the Kossuth Street Baptist church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edith Snyder, Logansport, and Mrs. Nelle Gholson, Clarksville, Tenn.


Grace married Albert "Bert" W. Smith, son of Charles W. Smith and Fannie Leavitt, in 1909 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN, USA.1 (Albert "Bert" W.
