Mrs. Melinda G. Niehoff Dies at Home of Daughter in Sunbury Mrs. Melinda G. Niehoff, 83, former well known resident of Shamokin, died early this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Boucher, 15 North Fourth Street. Sunbury, with whom she resided in recent years.
Mrs. Niehoff, the former Miss Melinda Gearhart Snyder, daughter of Harmon and Mary (Rake) Snyder, was born December 19, 1860 in Rush Township, where her forbears were pioneer settlers. Following marriage to the late Harry R.
Neihoff, Shamokin business man who died August 29, 1928, the couple resided here until the death of the hsuband. During her long residence in Shamokin, Mrs. Neihoff was actively associated with Trinity Lutheran Church. Since taking up residence at Sunbury, the matron attended Zion Lutheran Church.
Surviving Mrs. Neihoff are two children, Jacob R. Neihoff, Shamokin and Mrs. Harry Bucher, Sunbury together with nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Farrow Funeral Parlors, 608 North Liberty Street, Monday afternoon, beginning at 2:00. Friends may view in the parlors Sunday evening. Burial will be in the family plot in Shamokin Cemetery.
